Undergraduate Research Assistants
Diverse opportunities including developing NLP algorithms, creating public outreach materials for audiology clinics, managing social media, and hands-on work with children and families. Both in-person and virtual positions available.
Commitment
Minimum 10 hours/week, at least 2 consecutive quarters
Eligibility
Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors
Compensation
Credit after initial 1-quarter commitment
Past undergraduate researchers have gone on to graduate programs in linguistics, computer science, and cognitive science, with opportunities to co-author conference presentations and papers.
Ph.D. Students
Dr. Cychosz accepts prospective Ph.D. students through the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Computer Science. List her name as a potential advisor when you apply.

Research spans speech science, infant and child development, psycholinguistics, computational modeling, and cross-linguistic fieldwork.
Postdoctoral Researchers
We have openings for postdoctoral researchers interested in speech and language development, computational approaches to child language, or clinical research with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Ph.D. in linguistics, cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, computing, or a related field
