Lab Coordinator & Research Speech-Language Pathologist

Sonia Patrizi is a pediatric speech-language pathologist from Italy, currently working as lab coordinator and a research speech-language pathologist for the SPOG Lab. She is based in Los Angeles, at the John Tracy Center (JTC), Preschool and Parent Education Program, where she primarily conducts research for the SPOG Lab with children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Her clinical and research experience includes working with both monolingual and multilingual children with a range of developmental, language, and learning delays and disorders. She has collaborated extensively in multidisciplinary teams and strongly values building connections with families and schools to provide comprehensive, holistic care. Sonia earned a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Padova. She is honored to manage the SPOG Lab as well as support the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community at JTC. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, playing board games, petting her cat, and engaging in physical activities such as hiking and bouldering.
